Other Ministries — Hope in the Desert

The Order of the Daughters of the King is an international lay order for women who undertake a Rule of Life, pledging a life-long program of prayer, service, and evangelism. The Light in the Desert Chapter was instituted in 2001. Besides holding the members of the parish in daily prayer, our chapter currently supports monthly the homeless community of Albuquerque by providing hygiene/snack bags for distribution at the diocesan Church Unbound Sunday service. The chapter is also continually engaged in spiritual study through book studies and speaker presentations. The chapter meets the fourth Tuesday of each month (Sept. — July) at 1:30pm in the Adrienne Perner Visiting Center.
